Authentic family & motherhood photography
Creativity has always been part of who I am. My camera is simply the tool I use to tell the story unfolding in front of me.
I’m drawn to honest beauty—the quiet, real moments that reveal love and connection. The photographs hanging on my own walls are daily reminders of the memories I’ve made raising my girls and being their mom. I want the same for you—images that take you back to how it felt.
Documenting connection is what drives my work, especially the deep, undeniable bond between mothers and their children—both the little ones in their arms and the babies they’re still carrying.
Although I base my maternity photography business out of Spokane and Coeur D'alene I travel frequently to Seattle and Los Angeles CA.
Hey Im Shay!
I’m a mama to two sweet girls, homeschooling by day and chasing golden light with my camera in the in-between moments of this beautifully busy season of life. My love for photography started when I was just a kid, eventually leading me to study film in college. Somewhere along the way, I sold my camera to move to Hawaii, where I met my husband—proof that life’s best moments are often the most unexpected.
Motherhood brought me back to photography when I was gifted a camera, and I quickly fell in love with capturing the raw, fleeting beauty of parenthood. But my passion doesn’t stop there—I adore documenting love in all forms, from the fresh excitement of young couples to the deep, timeworn connection of the golden-hearted (because love only grows richer with age). And of course, I find magic in everything in between.
Whether it’s the quiet intimacy of a newborn session, the laughter of a family adventure, or the enduring love of a couple who has spent a lifetime together, I’m here to preserve your story through a lens of warmth, light, and authenticity. I have such a deep love for documenting pregnancy. It’s such a powerful and fleeting season, and I truly believe every mother deserves to have it remembered.
Your maternity photography session is a chance to slow down for a moment. To breathe, feel those little kicks, and really take in the fact that your body is creating life. It’s about celebrating you—maybe putting on a beautiful dress, stepping out of the everyday chaos for a bit, and embracing this incredible chapter before baby arrives.

Newborn
Those first days with your baby are tender, slow, and impossibly fleeting—passing before you’ve had time to fully take them in. Your newborn photography session is a chance to settle into it all.

Families
Family sessions are about capturing the season you’re living in right now—the laughter, the movement, the chaos, and the quiet moments in between. Not perfectly posed, but honestly and naturally, just as it unfolds.

Shay is an incredible photographer! She has a great eye and editing abilities to enhance the shots so they feel really special and artistic. We have little kids and she did a great job of doing what she could to get good shots even when they weren’t having it and also getting the in-between moments that aren’t posey. Loved that she asked for desired shots/inspo pics ahead of time so she could be clear on what we wanted. Highly recommend!

Sessions include a virtual chat to go over your vision, hopes and all the details. I provide styling assistance from head to toe including colors, outfit ideas and even links to purchase your favorite options
